OK I have read the difference between PinP and merge (though I dont quite understand it!)
And noticed that there is an alpha option in the Video File Reader
Is there anyway of adding an alpha channel/mask to an image at run time?

What is the difference between the Picture in Picture and image Merging blocks? I'm superimposing a Jpg image over an avi stream. Picture in Picture works - Image merging throws an unidentified error. The composition parameter seems to have no effect though. What is the recommended a way of compositing like this with Alpha Channels? Thanks, Gavin |

The ComposeChannels block (ImageAndVideo.processing) can do that work. By default it expectes three channels, but alpha can be enabled. It's not very efficent though, as you first need to decompose the image using the ExtractChannel block, and then compose it again. Next release will include a block to perform this specific operation, Paolo |
