Post subject:  Eyesweb on virtual machine?

Hi,
I'd like to ask if anyone has tried running Eyesweb on Windows under a virtual machine ?
Specifically experiences on a Mac, using VMWare or VirtualBox.

Any do's and don'ts?
Is there anything that might not work or give problems?

I hade experience of EyesWeb running on a VmWare virtual machine under Linux. Of course, some blocks requiring specific HW will not work (e.g., the Epix framegrabber); however, all other blocks will work (even framegrabbers).

I've seen someone running Eyw on VmWare under Mac (but I've no specific feedback about this).

thank you for your reply, paolo.

i'm having problems getting even the most basic things to work.

i make a new patch, put in a framegrabber that i connect to a displayDirectX. when i run the patch i get this error:
Device (system, WDMVideoinput_device) not foundError initializing the EyesWeb execution Engine.

when i replace the framegrabber with a videofilereader, connected to the displayDirectX, i get the following error:
DirectX libraries could not be initialized.
same error for displayDirectX2

both displayGDI and displayOpenGL claim everything is ok, but only seem to work with certain codecs - are these described somewhere????
