Centroid Extraction

In EyesWeb 5.0.2 does anyone know how to extract centroids after the centroid calc? I want to find the X,Y coordinate of each centroid individually. Currently when I use Point 2D Operation after Centroid Calc it finds what appears to be an average of all x,y coordinates.

Thanks

It seems that currently you can only draw the output of the CentroidsCalc bloc. This will be fixed in next releases.

OK thanks, any idea how long will that be?

Any chance of an individual block to read it in the meantime?

How does the new CentroidsCalc behave compared to the old one from Eyesweb3/4?

I'm currently using the old CentroidsCalc. It works great on arms. I have trouble extracting certain leg movements though.
Horzontal leg movements are ok, but when the subject raises one leg it loses track (see attached screenshot below).
Does the new CentroidsCalc use a different model?

That's me in that pic ;)

INTRODUCING: Hi all. Currently I'm working with a team, including zap25, on my interactive installation Dansmachine4.
We make use of EyesWeb to track XY-coordinates of the different limbs. Data is then sent through to visualJockey.

I hope this community is willing to think along with any practical problem we might engage.

Cheers,
Jerome

So is there a block in the prelease version that does this?

If so which one!

So is there a block in the nightly builds that can achieve this?

If so please let us know which one it is. Haven't quite got to grips with Eyesweb 5

Paolo: Awesome! Looking forward to it :-)

Gavin: I'm using the old CentroidsCalc at the moment. It's part of the Motion Analysis Libraryhttp://musart.dist.unige.it/EyesWeb/EywMotionAnalysisDownload.html. You need to have an older version of Eyesweb (I have 3.0.3) installed as well becasue the Motion Analysis Library needs a dll from that install.
In the Catalog view of Eyesweb5 you'll then find them under Deprecated->MotionAnalysis->MotionTrackers.

So if you're eager to start working with Motion Analysis you can go that route. This old version does have some limitations (as mentioned above) but it's powerful and accurate.

Regards,

Zap
