Hi guys,

I'm working on kinect for windows(version1) on Windows7 system, openNI and EyesWeb. Is there anyone who can offer a tutorial/manual/examples for getting those things connected and work?

(I checked with previous posts, but seems most of the links in the forum can not be opened. Also, is there any compatibility problems like the openNI's version that I should watch on? )

Thanks a lot!

Dear Cara,

First of all I suggest you to download the latest version of Eyesweb from here: ... .5.0.0.exe

Since OpenNi's development has been abandoned i suggest you to use the official SDK you can download it from here: ... x?id=40278

And then use the "kineckt Extractor SDK" block

If you prefer to stick with openNi I suggest you to use the OpenNIV2 (with the corresponding block OpenNI2.0 Extractor) which is more recent and powerful,

you will need to install the following packages and drivers (in addition to the official Kinect SDK mentioned previously): ... ...

here attached you can find a guide on how to configure and use the Kinect in EyesWeb,

for any doubt don't hesitate to contact me,

best, Stefano.

The file is to big for posting it, you can find it here: ... %20XMI.pdf
