Doesn't the video play with sound?
How can I play a video with sound in EyesWeb?

Thanks in advance

Well.. I found a way to do it david..

Put an audio reader, and a video reader side by side... they are both fed with the the same path/file (for instance from a "GetIndexedPath". This way they play both the same file...

However... they dont play it in sync. Audio and video get desyncronized!
You may try to turn on the Sincronization between audio and video reader (video reader as master since it's slower, audio reader as slave).
At start it seems to work ok.. but then the patch crashes when closing :(
When I have better news.. I let you know!

PS: I'm really enjoyng this standalone forum!! I'm feeling like the Little Prince from Saint-Exupéry's... talking alone in a vast and empty world.

Hello David,
so that you don't feel so lonely...
I am trying to use EyesWeb to control Animata, but I am in the initial steps. This means that I still can't get EyesWeb to recognize my camera input.
I am using WindowsXP home with built-in webcame, or Sony PD170 or Sony HDR-CX100 using a USB port (no firewire port in my computer).
Any suggestions about how I can get EeyesWeb to recognize my camera?
Many thanks.

Hello Paolo
Thank you very much for your reply and sorry for not having replied earlier, but wanted to wait till buying a new webcam.
Sorry but I do not know what you mean by FrameGrabber block (I am new here!).
I am using Eyw on a WIndows XP with a patch written by Sahal Merchant to connect Eyw with Animata.
The message I get is:
MSG>initializing patch "oscamLive"... DVCamInput: :DV Cam not Connected
CER>DVCamInput: :Try turn on your DV Cam
I get this same message with the new webcam, a Sony PD170 or Sony HDR-CX100 all of them plugged into a USB port (do not have any firewire ports) as well as with the built-in webcam.
Any help will be highly appreciated.
Grazie!

Hello again Paolo
Sorry, I just found the FrameGrabber block and everything seems to be ok
MSG>Initizializing Patch test...OK
MSG> Starting patch test... ok
this may mean that the problem is not hardware but something with the patch for animata i am trying to use.
thanks!
